You Are Family Will Launch Next Year on PC and Consoles

Step Inside a Countryside Guesthouse in You Are Family

Spanish developer DevilishGames has revealed the first official teaser for its upcoming psychological horror adventure, You Are Family. The project immediately stands out with a striking visual identity, as graphic artist Kramelman captured every image in the game using a real Game Boy Camera. It will be coming out on PC and consoles in 2027, so make sure to keep an eye out.

Set in a remote countryside guesthouse, the game begins with a seemingly peaceful escape. Players arrive at a quiet retreat filled with welcoming guests, warm meals, and a sense of calm far removed from the outside world. However, that tranquility quickly fades. Guests begin to disappear without explanation, unsettling noises echo through the halls at night, and shadows take on a life of their own. Beneath the surface, the house hides something deeply disturbing.

Gameplay in You Are Family revolves around exploration, investigation, and survival. Players must carefully observe their surroundings, interact with residents, and search every corner of the house. Clues are hidden everywhere, from documents and conversations to everyday objects, food, and even the building’s design. This creates a constant sense of unease and uncertainty.

The game’s defining feature remains its visual presentation. The use of Game Boy Camera photography creates a grainy, imperfect aesthetic that enhances the oppressive atmosphere. This feature turns familiar settings into something eerie and unsettling.

Blending psychological horror with dark humor and a B-movie tone, the game delivers a unique mix of tension and absurdity. As players solve puzzles and uncover secrets, they will dive deeper into a mystery that refuses to stay hidden.

With its unconventional style and haunting premise, You Are Family is shaping up to be a memorable entry in the horror genre.
