Unseen Will Launch on Meta Quest Before Expanding to Other Platforms

A Memorable Horror Experience Awaits in Unseen

A new VR horror experience is on the horizon, and it looks set to push the boundaries of immersive storytelling. Ronin Game Studio has officially revealed Unseen, a horror anthology heading first to Meta Quest, with plans to expand to other major VR platforms later on.

Blending psychological horror, cosmic dread, and dark sci-fi themes, Unseen draws inspiration from haunted attractions and classic anthology-style storytelling. The game uses a series of short, intense experiences instead of a single long narrative. Each one of them promises to leave a lasting impression long after players step out of VR.

Season One will feature three distinct stories, each set in a different time period and location. The first chapter, Chorus Protocol, is scheduled for summer and places players in control of a planetary defence system facing unknown cosmic threats. It leans heavily into tension and high-stakes decision-making.

Arriving around Halloween, Vista Del Mare shifts the tone to a chilling mystery set in 1978. Players explore an abandoned seaside resort tied to a mass disappearance that remains unsolved, creating a slow-burning, unsettling atmosphere.

The final episode, The Reservoir, is expected early next year. Set deep beneath an isolated facility, it focuses on exploration and fear of the unknown. Along the way, players will uncover a presence lurking in the tunnels below.

With its anthology format and focus on short but powerful experiences, Unseen aims to deliver a fresh take on VR horror. If executed well, it could become a standout title for players looking for something more experimental and immersive in the genre.
