Prepare to Enter the Battlefield in World of Tanks: HEAT
The battlefield is set to ignite as World of Tanks: HEAT, a brand-new standalone free-to-play tactical vehicle shooter, launches on May 26. Developer Wargaming Group Limited brings this fresh experience to players, setting the game in an alternate post-World War II era and focusing on fast-paced, team-driven armored combat.
To build excitement, the team released an official cinematic trailer directed by Ilya Naishuller, known for Hardcore Henry and Nobody. The trailer features intense visuals alongside music from his band, Biting Elbows. It offers players a strong preview of the chaos and energy the game aims to deliver. Wargaming Group Limited will launch World of Tanks: HEAT across PC through Wargaming Game Center and Steam, as well as Steam Deck, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and NVIDIA GeForce NOW. The game fully supports cross-platform play and progression, allowing players to switch platforms without losing progress.
The developers built HEAT from the ground up using a new proprietary engine. This technology powers modern visuals, detailed environments, and smooth, responsive gameplay across a wide range of devices.
At launch, players can choose from eight Agents across three roles: Defender, Assault, and Marksman. Each Agent controls two specialized vehicles. The game includes fifteen customizable vehicles, eight diverse maps, and four PvP modes such as Hardpoint, Control, Kill Confirmed, and Conquest.
With the release just days away, players can prepare by joining the community and adding the game to their wishlist. Overall, World of Tanks: HEAT positions itself as a bold and fast-paced evolution of tactical tank combat.
