The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest Expands on a New Platform
Acclaim and Swedish indie studio Elden Pixels have officially launched their surreal comedic microvania, The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest, on GOG.com today. The title is now available digitally for $14.99, with a limited-time 20% launch discount running for the first seven days. To mark the release, the team dropped a new launch trailer, highlighting the game’s strange world and offbeat tone.
Originally released earlier this year on Steam and Nintendo Switch, the game marks the latest project from the developers behind Alwa’s Awakening, Alwa’s Legacy, and A Void Hope. With its arrival on GOG, the studio is bringing its unique blend of humor and psychological storytelling to a wider audience.
“Players have been asking us for Acclaim titles on GOG, so we’re incredibly excited that The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest is the first step in what we believe will be a fantastic partnership with GOG,” said Marc Anthony Rodriguez, Director of Publishing and Strategic Partnerships at Acclaim. “Elden Pixels created something genuinely unique with Fletcher’s Quest, and we can’t wait for a whole new wave of players to dive headfirst into the madness, mayhem, and surreal humor that makes this game so fun & memorable.”
In the game, players take control of Fletcher Howie Jr., a developer pushed to the edge during the final stages of a major project. After a chaotic therapy session goes wrong, Fletcher finds himself trapped inside his own subconscious. What follows is a bizarre, often humorous journey through a distorted mental landscape filled with his fears and anxieties.
With its GOG debut, The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest continues to expand its reach, offering more players a chance to experience its distinctive and memorable adventure. If you want to learn more about the title, then check our official review right here!
