A Strong Start for Hollowed Oath
God Mode Games has announced an impressive start for the Kickstarter campaign of its upcoming fantasy MMORPG, Hollowed Oath. Within just 24 hours of launch, the campaign raised $35,025, already reaching 35% of its $100,000 funding goal.
Set in the dark fantasy world of Orrathis, Hollowed Oath takes place in a land abandoned by the gods and slowly consumed by a reality-warping force known as the Hollow. Players step into the role of an Oathsworn, one of the few capable of resisting the spreading corruption. The game focuses heavily on player choice, with factions, survival, and personal decisions shaping the world around you.
“This is the MMORPG we’ve spent twenty years wishing someone would make,” said Kris Takahashi, CEO of God Mode Games. “Deep, social, a little mysterious, and built like the developers actually have day jobs and families and respect that you do too. Hitting 35% on day one tells us we’re not the only ones who’ve been waiting.”

Unlike many Kickstarter MMORPG projects still in the concept phase, Hollowed Oath already has playable combat, progression systems, and explorable world content in place. The game also offers a flexible class system where players can combine three classes from a roster of sixteen, creating hundreds of unique character builds.
Combat is designed around status effects and combo-based ability interactions, rewarding experimentation and personalized playstyles. The game’s “You Are Enough” philosophy also allows players to enjoy meaningful progression whether playing solo or in groups.
If successfully funded, the Kickstarter campaign will help expand the game with new races, PvP, dungeons, crafting systems, mounts, evolving world content, and more. With a strong opening day behind it, Hollowed Oath is already shaping up to be one of the more ambitious indie MMORPG projects currently in development.
