A Relaxin Experience Awaits in GRAV Fishing
Indie studio Shatterproof Games has revealed GRAV Fishing, a relaxing and imaginative adventure that takes the familiar idea of fishing and sends it into space. Set on the ocean planet Aquaria, the game introduces a strange phenomenon where marine life has drifted into orbit, turning the skies into a surreal fishing ground.

In GRAV Fishing, players take on the role of an intergalactic angler equipped with a gravity-powered fishing rod. Instead of casting lines into water, players scan the cosmos, lock onto floating sea creatures, and carefully reel them back. Each species behaves differently, creating varied encounters that rely on timing, control, and a steady sense of rhythm.
The core loop goes beyond simply catching fish. Every rescued creature is covered in mysterious graviton barnacles, which must be removed using a special beam. These unusual parasites double as a resource, allowing players to generate energy and upgrade their equipment. Improvements include extending casting range, exploring deeper underwater areas, and enhancing overall mobility across the planet.
Aquaria itself is designed as a handcrafted mini open-world that evolves with time. As players restore marine life to its natural habitat, the environment gradually recovers, both visually and ecologically. Exploration plays an important role, with different regions and altitudes hiding unique species and rare discoveries.
GRAV Fishing is currently in development for PC, Mac, and Nintendo Switch, with a demo planned for the future.
With its calm tone and creative mechanics, the game offers a refreshing take on both fishing and exploration, shaping up to be a quietly distinctive indie release.
