A Huge Wishlist Milestone for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is gaining serious momentum ahead of release, as publisher Hooded Horse and developer Unfrozen confirm the game has surpassed 1.5 million wishlists on Steam. This achievement pushes it to the 9th spot among the platform’s most-wishlisted titles, highlighting strong anticipation from players.

The team is building Olden Era to welcome both long-time fans and newcomers. It draws from the core strengths of the iconic strategy series while introducing new and returning game modes that players can enjoy solo or with friends. By combining familiar mechanics with fresh ideas, the developers aim to deliver a modern yet classic experience.
The game’s rise did not happen overnight. Back in October 2025, it crossed the 1 million wishlist mark following a highly successful demo launch. That demo attracted 24,000 concurrent players and ranked as the 16th most-played demo in Steam’s history. Hence, giving the project a major boost in visibility.
“We’re deeply grateful to all fans of the legendary Heroes of Might and Magic franchise for their incredible support and kind feedback,” says Unfrozen CEO Denis Fedorov.
“It’s wonderful to see fans respond so strongly to the vision of the amazingly talented team at Unfrozen,” says Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender.
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era will enter early access on April 30, 2026, for PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, with day-one availability on PC Game Pass.
With its wishlist numbers climbing steadily and player interest holding strong, Olden Era is shaping into a promising revival for the beloved strategy franchise.
