Hooded Horse Partners with Limbic Entertainment for Pirate City-Builder Corsair Cove

Epic Pirate Adventures Awaits in Corsair Cove

Publisher Hooded Horse has officially teamed up with German developer Limbic Entertainment for a brand-new project, unveiling the pirate-themed city builder Corsair Cove during the Find Your Next Game CAGGTUS Showcase. The upcoming title sets players loose on a deserted island, tasking them with building a thriving pirate haven while navigating the dangers of the high seas.

At its core, Corsair Cove blends vertical city-building with resource management. Players will construct settlements across cliffs and hilltops, making careful use of limited space while managing intricate production chains that include more than 50 types of goods. From crafting spyglasses and cannons to supplying everyday essentials like ale and clothing, players will maintain every aspect of the pirate economy to keep the growing population satisfied.

The game also leans heavily into naval strategy. Players can build and outfit powerful ships to explore nearby waters, defend their territory, and battle against pirate hunters and agents of the Crown. Exploration will uncover hidden threats and opportunities, adding another layer of challenge beyond city management.

Progression is shaped by four distinct paths: Notoriety, Empire, Seafaring, and Wealth. Each unlocks new missions, buildings, and ships, allowing players to develop their pirate society in different ways. Movement across the island will rely on creative infrastructure such as bridges, ziplines, and elevators to keep goods flowing efficiently.

Corsair Cove will launch on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store, with a day-one release on PC Game Pass. The game will also support multiple languages, making it accessible to a global audience.

In short, Corsair Cove looks to deliver a fresh take on city-building by combining vertical design with pirate adventure.
