Prepare to Become the Masters of Albion
22cans has released the first full gameplay trailer for Masters of Albion, a reimagined God game from industry veteran Peter Molyneux. The six-minute deep dive offers players a substantial look at the adventure that awaits when the game launches in Early Access on PC via Steam on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 18:00 BST.
The trailer presents an extended, uninterrupted gameplay sequence that shows how the game’s interconnected systems function in real time. Players construct buildings, design armour, solve quests, and defend their settlements against the dangers that emerge at night. The footage highlights the freedom to experiment with mechanics, develop unique strategies, and shape Albion according to individual playstyles. By showcasing these systems working together seamlessly, the video captures the essence of a modern God game and makes the overall experience feel tangible and fully realised.
“This is where the game truly comes alive,” said Peter Molyneux. “Seeing all of these systems working together — building, crafting, exploration, and conflict — finally delivers the feeling of power, creativity, and responsibility that defines a true God game.”
Fans of Dungeon Keeper, Black & White, and Fable may recognise familiar ideas and design philosophies drawn from Molyneux’s earlier work. The trailer also features the iconic voice of Marc Silk, known for his performances in Black & White and Fable, who guides players through Day 11 in Albion. Over the course of a full day-and-night cycle, viewers gain a clear sense of the power, creativity, and freedom that define the journey to becoming a Master of Albion.
