Winnie’s Hole Is Entering Steam Early Access on 26th January

Become a Virus in Winnie’s Hole

Twice Different has announced that Winnie’s Hole, a bold and unconventional roguelite where players take on the role of a disease, will launch into Steam Early Access on January 26, 2026. Blending strategic puzzling with fast-paced roguelite mechanics, the game has already drawn attention for its unsettling yet inventive premise.

In Winnie’s Hole, players journey through the body and mind of Winnie, not as a hero, but as the infection. Using tetromino-shaped pieces, you strategically spread a virus through his cells, influencing his actions from the inside out. Each carefully placed shape triggers automated responses, creating a fluid experience that combines the immediacy of real-time play with the thoughtful adaptability of turn-based strategy.

This unique system makes the game both accessible and deeply tactical. As the infection grows, players explore randomized cellular environments and capture cells to mutate new abilities. All while building a deck of actions that they can unleash in satisfying, combo-driven encounters. The result is a constantly evolving challenge that rewards experimentation and smart planning.

Developed by the creators of Ring of Pain, Winnie’s Hole continues the studio’s tradition of genre-bending design and dark storytelling. Beneath its grotesque premise lies a strangely charming narrative that explores discomfort, identity, and what it means to be perceived as a monster.

With its inventive mechanics and striking concept, Winnie’s Hole promises a fresh and infectiously original take on the roguelite genre when it arrives in Early Access this January.
