RUNE GUNNER Has Launched Its Steam Store Page

Wishlist RUNE GUNNER Right Now

False Summit, a two-person indie studio, has revealed that the Steam page for RUNE GUNNER is now live. The upcoming title is a co-operative third-person roguelite shooter for up to four players, blending fast-paced gunplay with magic-driven systems inspired by games like Hades. Players can wishlist RUNE GUNNER now, with a playable demo planned to arrive in the near future.

RUNE GUNNER places players in a world trapped within the Shroud, a cursed realm born from an ancient search for immortality. Deadly Constructs roam this space, powered by unstable magic that heroes must also wield to survive. Each run becomes a struggle to master that power before it consumes everything.

At the heart of the experience is a flexible class system. Players begin each run with a hero’s innate class, then layer additional classes mid-run to unlock new active abilities and passive runes. These combinations enable players to dynamically reconfigure weapons and skills, creating powerful synergies that feel unique every time.

Progression focuses on behavior-changing upgrades rather than simple stat boosts. Magical runes alter how weapons function, enabling effects like endlessly stacking damage, ammo restoration through shields, or explosive chain reactions from burning enemies. Weapons are shared across heroes and persist between runs, while permanent upgrades let players fine-tune their starting loadouts.

Procedurally generated rooms, shifting class options, and varied enemy encounters ensure that no two runs play the same. Designed for short, drop-in co-operative sessions, RUNE GUNNER encourages experimentation, teamwork, and creativity as players push deeper into the Shroud and fight to reclaim their world.
