Starfinder: Afterlight Will Land on PC Next Year

Starfinder: Afterlight Heads to the Digital Frontier

Epictellers Entertainment and Paizo have announced Starfinder: Afterlight, a turn-based RPG based on the popular Starfinder tabletop roleplaying game. The title will be coming out in Early Access on PC via Steam in 2026, with a Kickstarter campaign on the way. Fans can already register interest for the upcoming crowdfunding launch.

Set in the expansive Starfinder universe, Afterlight invites players to explore distant worlds. All while confronting powerful foes wielding magic and futuristic tech, and commanding a crew of unpredictable but endearing companions. Each one of them has its own unique story. The game follows the aftermath of a catastrophic event, with the galaxy teetering on the edge of destruction and the captain missing. It is up to the remaining crew to rally together and protect the Pact Worlds from an unimaginable threat.

This marks the first time Starfinder’s second edition rules are adapted into a video game. It promises to deliver deep tactical combat, bizarre aliens, satirical corporations, and chaotic missions. Players can expect a dynamic mix of strategy, science fiction, fantasy, and narrative depth as they navigate a vibrant universe filled with danger and charm.

“We are thrilled to unveil Starfinder: Afterlight in partnership with Paizo,” said Ricard Pillosu, CEO of Epictellers. “This marks the beginning of a journey we want to take alongside Starfinder fans everywhere.”

Echoing the sentiment, Erik Mona, Paizo’s Publisher, added, “The Starfinder universe is vast and beloved. Epictellers Entertainment’s vision aligns perfectly with the essence of our galaxy. We believe they’re the ideal team to bring this next chapter of the franchise to life.”
