Shapez 2 Targets Full Release in November 2025 With New Features

Build the Best Factory in Shapez 2

Tobias Springer, the developer behind the popular factory automation game Shapez 2, has confirmed that version 1.0 will arrive in November 2025. This major update will introduce highly requested features, including Steam achievements, modding support, and a new game mode that could become the default way to play.

“We feel like shapez 2 is already in a very solid state,” says Springer. “With the recent updates and current state of the game, we want to get rid of the “early access” label, as we felt it might imply the game might not be ready to be played yet,”

The new mode will allow players to build more permanent factories by keeping early-game shapes useful throughout the game. This shift brings the experience closer to traditional factory-building titles and reduces the need to constantly rebuild. Players who enjoy the current system can still access it in the “classic” mode.

The development team plans to roll out modding tools with the 1.0 update. They have already invited creators to join the official Discord to start early collaboration. By working with the modding community ahead of launch, the team hopes to deliver high-quality content from day one.

Steam achievements will also arrive with the update, giving players new goals and rewards. The community has consistently asked for this feature, and the developers have now confirmed its inclusion.

To support these improvements, the team will not transfer current savegames to version 1.0. Instead, players can access their existing progress through a dedicated Steam branch. This branch will not support mods or achievements, but it will retain blueprint compatibility and continue to offer the classic mode.

With permanent factory building, creative tools, and community-driven content, Shapez 2’s upcoming 1.0 release promises a stronger, more flexible experience for all players.
