Sometimes a game needs to step back, reevaluate, and choose a new direction. Often, this makes for a more exciting game. Of course, it makes for more to explore. Today, developer Snowcastle Games happily unveiled the newest cinematic trailer for their upcoming RPG, Earthlock 2. Starting development in 2019, the developers behind the game decided the game needed to go in a different direction. Now, introducing players to a vast desert of opportunity, the game allows players to explore, face dangers, and bring new life to the desert of Umbra. Of course, a new cinematic trailer shows off the new direction of Earthlock 2.Â
Earthlock 2 places players amidst a band of voyagers. These voyagers find themselves in a vast desert full of danger and mystery. Luckily, you have come prepared. In fact, your mobile base of operations is a massive desert ship that crawls throughout the desert of Umbra striking fear into enemies. Of course, the game is an RPG. Yet, it includes a dynamic ecosystem simulator. Importantly, this means that the environment changes following player actions. The world around players responds to their moves. While you nurture different biomes back to their natural state, it will bring more dangers and new requirements to fully restore it. Interestingly, as players restore biomes they will receive rewards that will upgrade their ship. Of course, the ship functions as transportation and weapon. As such, it will transform along with the players journey and become more and more useful.Â

Earthlock 2 is currently in development. It will release on PC via Steam.
