Welcome to PurgatoryÂ
Get ready for another hell of a rocking time. It’s time to get slaying once more. This time however, Purgatory awaits. Grab your best headphones and rock out. Today, Funcom and developer The Outsiders are excited to announce the new DLC for their rhythm action game, Metal: Hellsinger. The DLC brings players to a whole new realm of hell: Purgatory. Unleashing players to this new realm, players will also be facing off against a whole new threat in the roguelite game mode in Horde Mode. However, even more await in this DLC. Additionally, a combination trailer provides players with a glimpse of what they can expect from the DLC and new mode.Â
Metal: Hellsinger introduces players to a rhythmic shooter in the bowels of Hell. Equipping themselves with an arsenal of different weapons, players will shoot demons to the beat, going for the high score. Of course, killing enemies powers you up, allowing you to rip through hordes of foes to some metal music. One of the main draws of the game, the music features an expansive list of names from Serj Tankian (System of a Down) to Randy Blythe (Lamb of God). Yet, with the introduction of the Purgatory DLC there is more to enjoy.
Metal: Hellsinger’s Purgatory DLC invites players to a whole new area, with a new weapon to try and of course new music. Featuring three brand new tracks from Melissa Bonny (Ad Infinitum), Joe Bad (Fit for an Autopsy), and Matt Heafy (Trivium), the DLC scratches the music itch. However, three new outfits and the deadly Telos bow are sure to appeal to those wanting new gear. Of course, players can get a look at the Purgatory DLC and the brand new Horde Mode in the new trailer.Â
Metal Hellsinger is out now on  Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox X|S.Â
