Diplomacy is Not An Option Unveils Major Update

Lord and Ladies with no mind for diplomacy. A new update is arriving to ensure that war is a necessity. Today, developer Door 407 is excited to announce a major content update for their castle siege, RTS, Diplomacy is Not An Option. The final major update before leaving Early Access later this year, the Sandbox update is introducing a whole new way to play. Of course, a press release provides more details on the update. Additionally, an update trailer from last week gives players a glimpse of all that’s in store for them in the update. 

Diplomacy is Not an Option is a city builder, tower defense, game. Players undertake ruling a kingdom as a feudal king, however, their kingdom is under siege. Importantly players will need to construct their settlement, build defenses, and recruit forces because the invading monsters aren’t your only worry. Aside from the vast hordes that threaten the kingdom, rebellious peasants, and more also lie in wait to destroy all you’ve built. 

The update adds a new game mode, Sandbox. Interestingly, this game mode allows players to to pick their map type, enemies, starting resources and gameplay modifiers for a more casual and freeform strategy experience. Diplomacy is Not an Option is set for release later in 2023. Currently, it is available on Steam Early Access. So, are you looking forward to trying the Sandbox update?
