The Calmness of Farming Sims Captured in PSVR 2 with Across the Valley

THE Farming Sim

VR has been coming into its own as a gaming medium for a while now. It is still suffers from a pretty big expense barrier for gamers though. That being said, I’m sold. Across the Valley will be coming out next month and farming sim lovers should be salivating.

PSVR 2 launched last month along with a dozen or so titles. They include big gaming names, like Gran Turismo 7, Resident Evil Village, and Horizon: Call of the Mountain. If you are one of the millions of gamers who love Stardew Valley, forget all those games, because Across the Valley will be out next month.

Across the Valley

This game has all the farming chores and activities that other farming sims have, but in VR. You can plant, tend to, and harvest all sorts of crops, including tomatoes, onions, wheat, carrots, potatoes, and more. Buy more land, expand the farm, buy animals, and raise livestock. In Across the Valley, you can make your farm a home. Sell crops and animal goods to invest in your farm and decorate the interior of your house.

Many farming sims have a satisfying *pop* or chime when harvesting goods. This game uses different means of harvesting. Crops have a grab-and-hold feature for collecting and animal care uses mini-games for getting the most out of your livestock. Planting seeds and feeding your animals have throwing mechanics that you can only get out of VR.

Across the Valley will be coming out on April 6th for PSVR 2 and Steam VR.
