The Beacons Are Lit!
The Nintendo/Ubisoft team up is back in full effect. The follow up to 2017’s Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is now here. Today, we have some combat gameplay for Sparks of Hope. If you enjoyed the first game, you will be happy to know that the combat is more or less the same, but with additions and improvements.
We take you to the shores of Beacon Beach, where Mario and friends are taking on the Giant Wildclaw. Our party is made up of Mario, Luigi, and the brand new character Edge. He’s the one that looks like his name is Edge.
The combat movement is a little more free in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. Instead of an actual grid to move within, players are given a zone they can run around in. Characters also have new weapons. Mario has a couple of Star-Lord blasters and Luigi makes use of a bow.
In this battle, Mario, Edge, and Luigi face off against a huge tiger-like Rabbid. It is supported by Shy Guy Rabbids. They shuffle onto the battlefield through portals, which can be destroyed before sending out enemies.
As the battle ends, we can see that there are more characters for players to choose from. Though they are not present, you can use Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, Peach, and Rabbid Mario. They also get experience, even though they sat on the sidelines.
Thank you for keeping it locked on COGconnected.
