Switch is About to Get More Odd
Prepare for a rather strange adventure. Today Microids and Oddworld Inhabitants are happy to announce that their award winning action platformer, Oddworld: Soulstorm is coming to Nintendo Switch. Arriving as the Oddtimized Edition, the game features all of the Odd gameplay that players have grown to expect. A press release provides more details about the new edition of the game. Furthermore, an announcement trailer gives players a glimpse of the Oddtimized version of the game.
Oddworld: Soulstorm is the sequel to the award winning action platformer Oddworld: New n’ Tasty. Players take on the role of Abe as he looks to free over 1000 Mudokons from their oppressors. Using instincts, skills, and memories, players will attempt to survive long enough to start a revolution. Using a whole host of tactics from stealth, to sabotage, to full out guerrilla warfare using trash to create weapons, players will fight the oppressors and save Abe’s people.
Of course, the choices in the game matter. The number of lives saved in each level will determine the ending of the game. With four unique outcomes each conclusion will carry a different impact to how the player has effected the world. Who knows maybe if you make the right choices you will unlock the final two chapters.
Pre-orders for Oddworld: Soulstorm- Oddtimized Edition are available now for the Nintendo Switch. Players who order the Limited Oddition or the Collector’s Oddition will recieve some extras. For instance they will receive the game’s Original Soundtrack and a Digital Artbook. So, will you step into this Odd world?
