TetherGeist Will Also Be Coming Out on Nintendo Switch

Enjoy a Coming-Of-Age Story in TetherGeist

O. and Co. Games has announced that TetherGeist is coming to Nintendo Switch, bringing its heartfelt blend of precision platforming and personal storytelling to a wider audience besides Steam. Designed as a wholesome, reflective experience, TetherGeist weaves exploration, growth, and self-discovery into every step of its journey.

The game follows Mae, a young villager preparing for a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage rooted in ancient tradition. Living with a motor impairment and a chronic illness, Mae faces both physical and social obstacles as she sets out into a mystical world shaped by ritual, memory, and quiet wonder. She is never truly alone, however. By her side is Bao, her axolotl spirit companion, whose presence offers guidance, reassurance, and a unique bond that defines the journey ahead.

TetherGeist

Rather than framing growth as conquest or power, TetherGeist focuses on curiosity, perseverance, and self-reliance. Mae and Bao progress by observing their surroundings, learning through practice, and adapting to challenges in thoughtful ways. The world opens gradually, inviting players to move at a deliberate pace and find meaning in small discoveries.

The game delivers a tight, responsive, precision platforming built around Mae’s astral projection ability. This spiritual skill allows her to extend beyond her physical form, rethinking movement and solving traversal challenges in creative and surprising ways. Frequent checkpoints and finely tuned controls ensure that failure feels constructive, turning each misstep into an opportunity to learn. The result is a platformer that encourages experimentation and reflection, where progress mirrors Mae’s own path toward confidence and independence.
