God of War Ragnarok’s release date announcement has seemingly been in limbo since the beginning of the year. The game was originally announced to launch sometime in 2021, but covid-19 has disrupted Sony’s plans and the game has since moved to 2022. Reports have also been extremely inconsistent, some saying the game won’t make it in time for 2022, others saying the game will in fact release this year.
Some fans even got a little bit too aggressive demanding an announcement be made that the game’s producer, Cory Barlgo, had to urge players to be kinder to game developers and promised that an announcement will be made when they are ready.
God of War Ragnarok is now officially releasing on November 9, 2022, for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 consoles.
