World Turtles, Wholesome Colony Game, Gets Steam Next Fest Demo

Giant Turtles Incoming

Turtles are an important part of any ecosystem. When it comes to this game, they are the ecosystem. Today solo developer Gideon Griebenow, also known as Re-cOg Mission, is happy to reveal that their upcoming world-building colony game, World Turtles, is coming to Steam Next Fest. From June 9th to 26th players can take part in the World Turtles demo, there may even be some incentive. A press release provides more details about the game and some insight from Gideon Griebenow. Of course, players who want a glimpse of these wholesome turtles can check out the Next Fest trailer for the game.

Except for launch day itself, the Steam Next Fest will be the biggest event in my game’s life cycle. With thousands of people watching me stream live and visiting my game page in one week, it’s the perfect opportunity to reach loads of potential real-world Meeps. It’s incredibly exciting to experience this dream becoming a reality.” Says Gienbenow.

World Turtles introduces players to a wholesome strategy game focusing on the back of a huge turtle. The player’s goal is to ensure the turtle and the civilization living on it, the Meeps, survive. Featuring sophisticated mechanics that impact the player’s turtle, such as position in space affecting weather and climate, players will have a lot to learn to master World Turtles. Of course, players can get a look at all of this in the Next Fest Trailer.

World Turtles is planning to release in August of 2022. Of course it will be at Steam Next Fest as a playable demo on the 13th of June. However, anyone who plays at least 20 minutes of the, currently avaialble, demo through June 9th until the 26th will have their name be a possible meep spawn name in-game.
