Elden Ring Has Gone Gold!
Elden Ring has officially gone gold, and I can’t wait. It is easily my most anticipated game of the year, and I’m aware of how risky that is. I was burned by Cyberpunk 2077. I shouldn’t believe the hype. Despite knowing this, I can’t help myself.
FromSoftware’s Yasuhiro Kitao had this to say, “The master version has already been submitted. Right now, the team is working on a day one patch, to make sure everything in the game is just so.”
Now, they are working on a day one patch to make sure the game runs as smoothly as possible. It is hard to believe that we are now just a little over a month away from actually playing Elden Ring.
Yes, Elden Ring going gold is exciting, and it does mean it is very likely to meet its February 25 release date. Kaito explains, “Please be assured, the title will be ready for sale on February 25th.”
While, of course, Elden Ring going gold doesn’t mean much in the long run. It is good to know that another delay is unlikely, but it really just makes me more excited. I want to know just what has changed since the network test. I want to know just what Elden Ring has to offer.
FromSoftware are easily my favorite developers around right now. It is tough competition as there are many fantastic devs, but the Souls series is just something different.
Despite many attempting to mimic, I don’t feel any game has truly captured just how spectacular a FromSoft game is. I hope Elden Ring manages to live up to the hefty expectations. If anyone could do it, it would be FromSoftware.
