Santa’s Slippery Slope Slides onto Steam

Physics Based Fun

Have you ever wanted to send the big man in red careening down ski hills in search of lost presents? Well your Christmas wish just came true. Santa’s Slippery Slope, Hondune Games’ Christmas ski adventure, is out now on Steam. A press release about the game included all of the physics based details.

Santa's Slippery Slope Feature

The game is entirely based on physics. Speed, angles, and how you hit ramps all count towards getting those presents. In addition the game prides itself, in the press release, on its level of challenge that it provides players. At the same time, it doesn’t seek to lock its players into a level they simply cannot beat.

According to the press release, the game features “Open over-world with non-linear level progression, struggling on one level? Simply go try another and come back later!”

A trailer for the game, released a few weeks ago, shows of the level design and mechanics of the game.

Truly, the game appears reminiscent of other physics based games of the past. For instance Trials, the famous physics based biking game, may come to players minds. The game depicts Santa Clause himself, on a pair of skies, looping around shoddy ramps and flying off of snow hills. All with ragdoll physics to boot, so messing up even provides some soothing hilarity to the pain of failure. It also claims to run integrated graphics to ensure no matter the hardware it will look good.

So maybe bring some holiday cheer to yourself this season. Currently, Santa’s Slippery Slope is available on Steam for $7.99. Will you be able to save those presents? Or are you gonna send Santa for some slippery wipeouts?
