Time Flies When You’re Having Fun
On November 15th, 2001, the first Xbox console launched in North America, followed by many more launches around the world. It was the beginning of a proud video gaming legacy that continues to this day. In other words, Xbox will be celebrating its twentieth birthday this year, and we’re all invited to the celebration. The festivities will last until November 15th, 2021, and will include social media hashtags, a wave of official Xbox twentieth anniversary gear, free anniversary-themed wallpapers, and a ton of fantastic Xbox FanFest activities including exclusive sweepstakes, FanFest gear, and digital experiences. It’s shaping up to be an amazing year for Xbox fans, especially now that the console has finally partnered with Limited Run.

First up, you use can use #Xbox20 on social media to share all your favorite Xbox memories, achievements, stuff, and anything else that comes to mind. The Xbox team will be asking loads of questions over official socials and spotlighting the answers during the event period, so this could be your chance to go viral. The Xbox Gear Shop is now stocked with the first wave of official anniversary gear, including hats, T-shirts, mugs, tote bags, tumblers, and throw pillows. Whatever you need, it’ll be there, marked with a fancy stylized anniversary decal that includes the Xbox logo. Some items also feature Halo-themed designs for the Halo fan in your life. Speaking of Halo, there are also some great free anniversary-themed wallpapers to download.
You can now register for Xbox FanFest to participate in an array of 20th Anniversary FanFest activities. This will include exclusive sweepstakes, FanFest gear, and digital experiences, so don’t let the opportunity pass by.
