Surreal RPG Coming To All Platforms Early 2021
She Dreams Elsewhere is now coming to the Nintendo Switch! The announcement came during today’s Indie World Showcase, along with a new release window of early 2021. Whereas before it was just sometime next year, now we know it’s early next year.
If you’re unfamiliar with She Dreams Elsewhere, it’s a gorgeous RPG reminiscent of Earthbound. Well, if Earthbound took place entirely in Moonside’s psychedelic confines. This one has been in the oven for quite some time, but so far it seems very much worth the wait. If nothing else, a strange pixel art adventure rooted in dreams is extremely up my alley.
This deeply personal story about mental health and moving on is being developed by Studio Zevere, a solo squad based out of Cleveland, Ohio. The short staff roster is likely part of why we’ve been waiting on this one for years. On the other hand, indie darlings cooked up by a single developer tend to pay massive critical and commerical dividends. At least, they end up dominating the cultural conversation when they’re finally released. She Dreams Elsewhere is coming to Xbox, PC, and the Nintendo Switch sometime in early 2021.
