Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access Planned for September

Early Access to Baldur’s Gate 3 Expected Next Month

Larian Studios recently confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 will be entering early access soon, suggesting a September 30th start date. Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke said the team is targeting this date and feels pretty good about it. The early access phase of Baldur’s Gate 3 will include locations such as Avernus, Underdark, and Faerun, and Larian Studios has confirmed that the Rogue and Fighter are two of the playable classes in early access. Baldur’s Gate 3 will be releasing for PC and Google Stadia later this year, but the early access phase will give fans of the series a taste of what to expect when it begins at the end of September.

Baldur’s Gate 3 includes an extensive character creation system with many options, but Larian Studios is still deciding how many races, sub-races, and classes to include in the early access phase. Apparently it will include quite a few options, but Larian Studios have yet to confirm the specific races, sub-races, and classes to expect. The early access phase for Baldur’s Gate 3 is expected to begin at the end of September, but it’s expected to be in early access for several months.

The early access build for Baldur’s Gate 3 will feature over 20 hours of content and allows players to hit level four by questing and defeating enemies. The early access includes five different companions to recruit who will have different interactions and dynamics based on their surroundings and personality. Multiplayer will also be available in Baldur’s Gate 3 early access for up to four players, both online and local but there won’t be any split-screen support at launch.
