Braindance Gets Showcased in New Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Trailer
CD Projekt Red recently released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 and it centers around a new ability known as Braindance. The trailer was announced ahead of time and it didn’t disappoint gamers who are eagerly anticipating the fall release of the game. Braindance is an in-game VR style tool that allows gamers to explore Night City by immersing themselves in the lives of other characters. Cyberpunk 2077 will be releasing for Xbox One, PS4 and PC on November 19th.
Braindance allows gamers to explore more characters in Night City by allowing them to see through their eyes as they go about their days. The ability also includes a tool to scroll back and forth through that characters timeline to see and hear everything they have experienced. This is primarily used as a story-telling tool but it will no doubt come in handy several times during missions. This will allow gamers to follow a character without needing to be in their general vicinity. Most characters in Night City use the ability for cheap thrills but gamers can use it to gather intel on various characters.
Braindancing is “a popular form of entertainment in Night City. Letting you experience recorded memories and emotions as if they’re your own,” according to Andy Kelly from PC Gamer. “Most people use Braindancing for sexual thrills or to see the world through the eyes of a celebrity but you can use it for espionage or casing a wealthy CEO’s penthouse before you rip them off. You can scrub through a Braindancing recording, fast forwarding, rewinding and pausing to scan for clues and valuable intel. You can move the camera around too and switch between three layers of data: visual, audio and thermal.”
