Cyberpunk 2077 Has Entered the Playtesting Stage

This Should Suggest That it Will Not Be Delayed Again

The entirety of the gaming world has been patiently waiting for the release of Cyberpunk 2077. First teased in 2013, fans have been driven into borderline insanity due to the anticipation. Cyberpunk 2077 was scheduled to arrive this Spring but was then delayed until the Fall. As frustrating as this might be, there is good news. According to CD Projekt Red, the developers of the game, Cyberpunk has now entered playtesting. A very good sign that the game will not be postponed any longer than it already has.

Cyberpunk 2077 has also been sent to the rating board. Another good sign. If everything adds up, it looks like we should be able to get out hands on this supposed masterpiece in September. Nothing is guaranteed at this point, but it’s looking hopeful. CD Projekt Red famously said in their teaser trailer seven years ago that the game would launch “when it’s ready.” Everyone is praying that more than seven years of development have finally deemed the game as ready.

Regardless of what happens, we should be treated to some new gameplay this summer at conventions like E3. There is still a lot of concern on whether or not E3 will even take place thanks to the coronavirus scare. But that should not really affect if we see any more teaser content before the game is supposed to launch. Chances are the studios will find a way around those problems.

Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot to live up to. The amount of hype around the game is hard to put into words. Add in the amount of time people have been waiting for this game to drop is only going to make people’s expectations even bigger than before. Don’t let us down.
