Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC Will Explore The Legend of Beowulf

But Will There Be a Golden Angelina Jolie?

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was revealed just a couple of weeks ago. We have already seen the different editions of the game and what they have to offer, as well as some gameplay. Now it appears that we are getting a few details about the first piece of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC. According to a tweet by GameNotify, getting the season pass for Valhalla will give players access to “The Legend of Beowulf”. The tweet links to the Ubisoft Germany store, where the details were supposedly listed, but does not appear to actually mention it. At least not anymore.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Trailer

Beowulf is a hero of Geatish origins. There are many etymologies and origins of the character, but the one true version is the 2007 film by Robert Zemeckis. The story of Beowulf tells of his battle and victory against the troll-like creature Grendel and Grendel’s mother who looks like Angelina Jolie. After defeating Grendel and his mother, Beowulf becomes king of Geatland, but in the movie he becomes king of Denmark. Many years after becoming king, a thief steals a piece of gold from a nearby dragon, who then terrorizes the land. Beowulf personally fights the dragon, but is mortally wounded and dies in his victory.

Assassin’s Creed games have used legends and mythology in their DLC before, so it is not much of a stretch for Valhalla to include Beowulf, though they will be taking some pretty extreme liberties. Maybe Ubisoft should consult Zemeckis or something. Ubisoft has yet to officially confirm all this, so until they do, consider this DLC a rumor. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be out for the 2020 holiday season for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Stadia.
