Ghost Recon Breakpoint might not have lived up to expectations, but that does not mean it is not worth your attention. Especially when it’s free. That is what is going to be happening this weekend. The Epic Games Store and Uplay will be offering the game from tomorrow until March 29th. This is a great chance to try out a new game with your friends for free.
To be clear, if you download Ghost Recon Breakpoint for this weekend you will not be keeping it forever. You just have the opportunity to rent it. But if you do end up taking advantage of the offer, any progress that you make will be carried over if you end up choosing to buy the game.
Breakpoint was by no means the blockbuster hit that Ubisoft wanted to be, but it still does have some good qualities about it. The emergence of a brand new immersion mod has been released that should offer a level of detail that was sorrowly missing from the base game. Not to mention that since it is free, there is no reason you and your friends can’t all spend a weekend messing around with Breakpoint.
Ubisoft has acknowledged the problems of games like the Division and Ghost Recon Breakpoint. They have realized that their games need to have more of a unique feel than what is currently being pushed out the door. Something that they hope to fix in future titles. While Ghost Recon Breakpoint might not have been executed perfectly, there is still a lot of potential that Ubisoft is looking to tap into in future games.
