Microsoft Shows Off More Translucent Xbox One Controllers
Microsoft has officially unveiled two new controllers joining the Xbox One line-up, including a translucent Magenta one. The new controllers are known as Phantom Magenta and Arctic Camo and they’re already available for pre-order. The special-edition controllers both feature a unique design, with internal components of the Magenta one being showed off through the upper half of the controller. Alongside the two new controllers are their respective Controller Gear Xbox Pro Charging Stands, which match and highlight the new designs. These new special-edition controllers cost $70 each and they’ll be available to purchase later this Spring.
Gamers who are worried about buying new controllers with the upcoming release of next-gen consoles will have nothing to worry about with these new Xbox One controllers. Xbox One controllers are forward compatible with the Xbox Series X, meaning you’ll be able to game with the Phantom Magenta and Arctic Camo controllers for many years to come. The visually stunning Phantom Magenta controller will be releasing on March 17th, while the Arctic Camo Xbox One controller will be releasing later in May. Both controllers are impressive new addition to the Xbox One controller library and we’re looking forward to adding them both to our collection.
Curiously, although one controller releases in March and the other releases in May, the Arctic Camo one will be receiving its charging stand ahead of the release. The charging stand will release on April 27th, while the charging stand for Phantom Magenta will be releasing on the same day as its matching controller. While both controllers feature translucency, Arctic Camo includes opaque white and grey splashes which hides certain internal components that are fully on display with Phantom Magenta.
