A Jedi Fallen Order Sequel Could Be Coming in the Near Future
A sequel to Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order might be in development, according to multiple recent job postings for the first game’s studio, Respawn Entertainment. Each reported job posting is specifically for Respawn’s Star Wars team and at least one mentions coding for “third person action/adventure games”.
Considering that Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order was a third-person action-adventure game that was received positively and sold well, it’s pretty likely that these job postings are for a Respawn-developed sequel. One also has to consider that the ending of Respawn’s latest release left a lot of room for future stories involving the game’s hero, Cal Kestis.
There’s also this rumor dropped by Kotaku reporter Jason Schreier during a November episode of the outlet’s podcast, Kotaku Splitscreen (around the 41:20 time mark): “What I’ve heard…is that [Respawn] already have a greenlight to make a sequel.”
It’s certainly possible that a Jedi Fallen Order sequel is in the works but, of course, that hasn’t been confirmed or denied yet by Respawn or its publisher, EA (which has the exclusive rights to make Star Wars games until 2023). Fans will have to wait and see but chances that they’ll be joining Cal on another epic adventure are pretty good.
