Sirfetch’d Looks Like One of Pokémon Sword’s Most Interesting Pokémon
A new Pokémon Sword creature named “Sirfetch’d” got a big reveal on Wednesday. Sirfetch’d is the evolved Galar region form of the classic duck Pokémon, Farfetch’d.
Sirfetch’d are described as “calm and collected” Pokémon who always fight fair with their leek lance and leaf shield. Their signature move is called “Meteor Assault” and this “devastatingly powerful” attack involves Sirfetch’d charging at their opponent with their lance. However, using this move is so exhausting that Sirfetch’d aren’t able to do anything else after performing it.
According to the official Pokémon website, Sirfetch’d really, really care about their leek lances. Like, a lot.
“In battle, Sirfetch’d uses the sharp stalk of its leek as a lance and the thick leaves as a shield,” an official description read. “It maintains this leek over the span of many years and treasures it more than anything. When its leek finally withers, Sirfetch’d will leave the battlefield and retire from battling entirely.”
