In his message, Pearce reflected on his long career with Blizzard and thanked his fellow employees for making the company such a great place to work for. He also thanked Blizzardโ€™s player community for being so passionate about the companyโ€™s games.

When it came to his future plans, Pearce said that he plans on spending โ€œmore time active in the outdoors.โ€ โ€œIโ€™d like to learn to play an instrument,โ€ Pearce continued. โ€œI hope to devote more time to aspects of my life that may not have gotten as much attention in the past. One thing is for certain โ€“ I will continue to be a part of the Blizzard family.โ€

Blizzard Entertainment president J. Allen Brack praised Pearceโ€™s contributions to Blizzard and said, โ€œFrank might be hanging up his armor now, but because of the influence heโ€™s had in helping to build Blizzard and the connections heโ€™s made with so many of us, veterans and new recruits alike who are all carrying the same torch forward, heโ€™ll always be here with us.โ€
