Choose From a Bunch of Colours and Finishes
dbrand, a Toronto-based company that specializes in cool-looking skins for various gadgets, has released a new set of skins designed specifically for the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller that allows you to customize it with a bunch of colours.
While there were concerns early in the Switch’s life cycle about applying dbrand’s skins to the console unit and Joy-Cons, their adhesive covers won’t damage the hardware at all anymore. The installation process, while still rather simple, can be a tad bit frustrating due to how precise you need to be when applying them; but if you have a steady hand, then you need to check these out!
According to its website, dbrand uses only premium materials for their skins. The Pro Controller ones use 3M vinyl, the same vinyl used to wrap Lamborghini’s. It’s also been tested “over a thousand times” to ensure the skins fit flawlessly so the end result looks convincing. The wraps also add texture, grip, scratch protection and hand-oil resistance for good measure.
In terms of colours and finishes, the Pro Controller skins come in a wide variety including camo, carbon fiber, matte, red, yellow, blue, pink, orange, green, and purple. The camo, carmon fiber, and matte are textured skins, while the coloured options are glossy finishes.
