Ubisoft Announces Rainbow Six Siege Has Surpassed 30 Million Players
Recently we told you about Ubisoft’s new approach to taking toxic players out of Rainbow Six Siege and now they’ve announced another reason to celebrate. The popular shooter has officially reached 30 million players proving to all who doubted it, that it’s here to stay.
Despite some big problems in the beginning, including its under performance in the sales category at launch, Rainbow Six Siege shows no signs of slowing down, continuously gaining traction in the gaming community. Following multiple updates and a bunch of fan feedback, the popular title is currently in it’s third year of content and while Ubisoft has announced they won’t be making a sequel, they are still working towards their goal of having a total of 100 operators in the game. An of course, considering the start to this year, with Operation Chimera, new maps, new operators, and even more content, it’s hard not to get excited about.
Here’s what Alexandre Remy, Rainbow Six brand manager, had to say about this big player milestone: “On behalf of the entire team, we wanted to thank every member of our diverse, global community for their support of our game. Our players are the most valuable element to our game. Over the last three years we have endeavored to create a solid community built on transparency as we grow and evolve the ever-expanding world of Rainbow: Six Siege. We are so tremendously honored to achieve this milestone, and we will continue to do everything we can to earn each and every new person that decides to play.” You can check out their announcement on Twitter below too.
