Stardew Valley Fans Shouldn’t Have to Wait Much Longer Now
Eric “Concerned Ape” Barone, the creator of Stardew Valley, has provided an update on the game’s much-anticipated multiplayer mode, saying that it “should be ready in about a month.”
Barone revealed on Twitter that the dev team is “still making progress on fixing bugs” and that “if all goes well” the update should be finished by the end of the month. In a later tweet, Barone cleared up fan confusion by saying the update will come to PC/Mac/Linux first, followed by Switch, then Xbox One and PS4.

It’s worth noting that when Barone says the update “should be ready in about a month” he probably isn’t referring to an official release. He has mentioned before that he would like to test all the features out before pushing it out to the public. It’s possible what he means is that it will be in a proper state to move to a public beta.
The addition of multiplayer to the popular farm simulation game goes back all the way to the original PC release. We last reported on the multiplayer mode back in November when Barone mentioned that the free multiplayer update will also have new single-player content. No other details have been revealed since then.
