Here’s Your Chance to Fight Everyone All at Once
If you’ve been playing Dreadnought on the PS4, good for you! Everyone deserves a little more massive space combat in their life. Better news: The game’s developers have released Onslaught Mode, a brand new way to kill each other with huge spaceships, for the PS4 version of the game.
The aforementioned Onslaught Mode is the newest way to enjoy Dreadnought’s open beta. Players will not only be able to square off against a human opponent, but a fleet of neutral third-party ships as well. For those of you unfamiliar with Dreadnought and it’s space-fighting ways, the battles in question involve fleets of capital ships squaring off against one another in glorious combat. One-on-one duels in the twinkling void just can’t hold a candle to the tense command of an entire fleet of hulking starships.
There are other updates and fixes coming along with the new game mode, all of which can be perused here in great detail. Of particular note are the Proving Grounds, a new game mode that replaces the training section with something a bit more competitive and meaningful. There’s no harm in making it worth your while to learn the systems of play, right? As always, the open beta is free to download from the PSN.
