Social Media Post from Crytek Employee Suggests it’s Been Six Months Without Pay
A post on imgur by an alleged Crytek employee indicates the company hasn’t handed out their pay in almost six months. If accurate, this would be the second time since 2014 the German game company has been unable to pay its employees.
The post doesn’t clarify which employees at the company are going without wages, although the author posits that this is happening “in all of our offices as far as I can tell.” The company addressed these previous financial troubles with confidence. All indications were that the company was on relatively solid ground. The company has offices in multiple countries at present, with no current indication of any serious financial problems. These allegations could put the developer’s financial status in question.
Crytek is the game studio behind the hit series Crysis, as well as the more recent VR entry, The Climb.
