10 Amazing Nintendo 3DS Games Nobody Played

Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titans

Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titans brings much experience and knowledge from earlier titles of the series. This robust dungeon crawler features sound gameplay and great character customization. Unfortunately, this title likely fell victim to a bad release date, releasing between two handheld behemoths in Fire Emblem: Awakening and Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate. RPG fans without a game on the docket should give this one a try.

Hyrule Warriors: Legends

The Legend of Zelda is usually a very strong selling series no matter what console it releases on. The 3DS version of Hyrule Warriors released quite a while after the original, but it does feature more characters out of the box than its Wii U counterpart. The title released without much fanfare despite having lots of replayability as well as being a fun game in general. Personally, I love that Nintendo is willing to try different things with their intellectual property, and will support their endeavors to do so. Fans of the Zelda series and Dynasty Warriors series should give this one a shot.

Shin Megami Tensei IV

Shin Megami Tensei is a classic JRPG series currently being overshadowed by its more popular, spin-off series Persona. Shin Megami Tensei IV features a darker story than Persona fans may be used to, as well as an intricate fusion system. The party building and battles are also arguably more in-depth than in the Persona series and is more focused on dungeon crawling rather than a social aspect. Although being the “original” series, Shin Megami Tensei released (at least in North America) without much promotion. I myself just happened to come across it in a store without knowing it had already been released. Fans of RPGs or the Persona series should definitely try this game out.
