Recently-leaked Red Dead map and information are real, according to source
A new report from Techradar, which cites what it says is a source close to the game’s development, says that a map recently leaked from a new Red Dead game is indeed real, and it’s a “very recent” art direction map for the game. According to the same source, the leaked map is just east of the one in the previous title in the series, Red Dead Redemption. Also, the new game will reportedly be set before the events of Red Dead Redemption.
Apparently, the map was first posted on NeoGAF, but was quickly taken down. This image is what was posted:
You can see that New Bordeaux (bottom right) is on this map, but it is also the fictional location where Mafia 3 will take place.
The new game, if it is indeed real, has been eagerly anticipated by legions of fans of the franchise. It makes sense for there to be a new title as well, since Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two has called Red Dead a “permanent” franchise, and that they’ll be at E3 2016 with a “big” presence. Could it be we will see a new Red Dead game before the year is out? Stay tuned here for any new developments.
