Red Dead Redemption Gets 60FPS on PS5

Red Dead Redemption Update Brings 60FPS Option on the PS5

In a stealthy move, Rockstar recently rolled out an update for the PS4 edition of Red Dead Redemption. This update introduces an exciting 60fps option when playing the game on the PS5.

Rockstar, known for its PS4 and Switch ports of the original Red Dead Redemption launched in August, surprised gamers this Wednesday. Players discovered a pleasant addition within the game’s latest update: a toggleable 60fps option available in the pause menu.

Xbox Games With Gold For June

Since its initial release for PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010, Red Dead Redemption has amassed a staggering 23 million copies sold, as reported by Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar.

Its successor, Red Dead Redemption 2, has exceeded expectations. Debuting on PS4 and Xbox One in 2018 and later on PC and Stadia, it has now sold over 55 million copies worldwide.

Remarkably, research firm Circana (formerly NPD Group) ranks it as the second best-selling title in the US over the past five years in terms of dollar sales.

As for a Nintendo Switch rendition of Red Dead Redemption 2, although it made a brief appearance on the Brazilian ratings board’s website last month, no official announcement has been made as yet. Gamers remain eager for updates on this front.
