This War Of Mine: The Little Ones depicts the experience of war not from the soldier’s point of view, but from a group of civilians that are trying to survive. Struggling with a lack of food, limited or no medical supplies and constant danger from the world around, players will need to make life-or-death decisions to make it through another day.
A new gameplay trailer has been released showing PS4 and Xbox One gameplay. It gives players a good sense of the cut-away nature of the 2D levels, in which you will be trying to survive in a hostile war environment. The trailer gives a good sense, also, of the cool visuals which mix the 2D video game look with realistic, fully rendered characters. It makes for a very stunning visual experience overall.
In case you are not familiar with the details behind This War of Mine: The Little Ones, here is a description form the company:
“As a group of civilians you’ll be facing extremely difficult choices that have to be made just to survive the war: what do you do when you have to sacrifice someone? What do you do when you’re starving but other survivors may have food? You’ll need to get it as well as medication, bandages, and the like. When you run out of necessities, you’ll need to send one man on a mission to scavenge for any supplies. But kids are not as tough as adults — and you will be the ones taking care of them.”
This War of Mine: The Little Ones comes to PS4 and Xbox One January 29th, 2016.
