Enter the Ancient City of Rome in Mini Motorways
Dinosaur Polo Club is bringing Mini Motorways to one of history’s most famous cities, with the upcoming Rome Map update scheduled to arrive in Winter 2026. Announced during The MIX Fall Game Showcase, the free update will introduce new traffic management challenges inspired by Italy’s capital.
The upcoming map will let players design road networks across Rome, combining land routes and waterways to keep the city’s traffic moving. Players can also look forward to fresh achievements, daily and weekly challenges, and city challenges that put their planning skills to the test. For those who prefer building without the pressure of completing objectives, the update will also include the option to continue in Creative Mode. The Rome Map update will launch for free across all current platforms, including Apple Arcade, PC and Mac via Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
The announcement also comes as Mini Motorways celebrates its seventh anniversary, marking years of continued support from the New Zealand-based developer. Since its launch in 2021, the minimalist strategy game has attracted more than nine million players and expanded with maps inspired by cities around the world, including Hong Kong, Istanbul, Iceland, and Singapore.
Over the years, Dinosaur Polo Club has continued to introduce new features, game modes, and community-driven updates, giving players more reasons to return to their growing road networks.
With Rome joining the game’s growing collection of city maps, players will soon have another busy metropolis to tackle. If you enjoy turning chaotic traffic into neatly organised road networks, this upcoming update looks like another reason to jump back in.
