Get Ready to Enter the Town of Tinysville
If you ever wondered what would happen if Balatro met city-building, then you can finally find out now. Indie studio 7Seven Studios has confirmed that Town of Tinysville, the deck-building roguelike city-builder, will take part in the upcoming Steam Next Fest this October. The demo is already live on the platform, so go ahead and check it out.
Instead of battling enemies like most deckbuilders, Town of Tinysville puts you in charge of building a thriving town on tiny maps where every placement matters. Players use cards to construct buildings, create powerful synergies, and generate as many coins as possible while adapting to an ever-changing layout. One bad decision can quickly bring an otherwise promising run to an end.
The game features more than 100 unique landmarks, each capable of creating game-changing combinations. Some landmarks copy nearby effects, others retrigger buildings, and a few can even save your town from defeat. Chance cards add another layer of strategy by letting you reshape the map, clear obstacles, or destroy structures to make room for stronger builds.
Progress also carries over between runs. Buildings and cards you discover remain permanently unlocked, giving players more tools to experiment with future strategies. With 12 distinct towns and seven difficulty levels for each, every run offers a fresh challenge and plenty of replay value.
As Steam Next Fest approaches, Town of Tinysville looks like a promising indie title for players who enjoy thoughtful strategy and endless experimentation. With its demo already live, it’s a great opportunity to see whether your city-building skills can stand the test of its roguelike challenge.
