Star Ronin Is Taking Part in Steam’s Cyberpunk Fest

Step Inside a Dystopian Future in Star Ronin

Wolfe Games has announced that its upcoming cyberpunk action RPG, Star Ronin, will be part of Steam’s Cyberpunk Fest, giving players an early chance to experience the game through a brand-new playable demo. The event runs from August 3 to August 10, 2026, with the full game still on track for release later this year. Players can also wishlist the title on Steam ahead of launch.

Star Ronin is being developed by solo creator Greg Wolfe, who is best known for the hugely successful Blood and Steel mod for Mount & Blade: Warband, which has surpassed one million downloads. Wolfe has also contributed mods for games including Teleglitch and MechWarrior 5, bringing years of modding experience into his first original RPG.

Star Ronin

Set in a grim cyberpunk future, the game places players in a world ruled by powerful megacorporations where even personal freedom comes with a price. Burdened by crushing debt, players must accept dangerous contracts and rely on skill, strategy, and firepower to survive.

Star Ronin also offers multiple ways to tackle missions, whether sneaking past enemies with thermoptic camouflage, launching into combat with a jetpack, calling in drone support, or overwhelming opponents with an expanding arsenal of weapons. The game procedurally generates every mission, creating fresh objectives, enemy layouts, traps, and boss encounters each time. Destructible environments, deep crafting systems, customizable exo-suits, multiple difficulty settings, and a dedicated Arena mode further add to the replayability.

With the demo now available during Steam’s Cyberpunk Fest, players have a great opportunity to get an early taste of the title and see how its fast-paced action and procedural gameplay are shaping up ahead of its full launch later this year.
