Earlier in July, Drakong announced the release of their debut controller, designed for Xbox and PC: The Challenger. Officially licensed, this new controller is more than just another piece of gaming equipment for the L.A. based company. In fact, a press release claims that the release of The Challenger is a statement of intent for the company, and its features are arriving with a fresh philosophy in mind. The Challenger enters the gaming scene as an affordable option that doesn’t feel the need to sacrifice a competitive edge. Importantly, the controller features Impulse Triggers that provide tactical feedback and localized vibration, Hall-Effect Switches and durable membrane buttons. Of course, this means that The Challenger is responsive and comfortable for gaming. Additionally, it was designed with both Xbox and PC in mind. In fact, it includes a sizable 10ft USB-C detachable cable gives gamers the advantages of wired latency.
