Join the Action in Patlabor the Case Files
Patlabor The Case Files is set to bring the iconic Mobile Police Patlabor universe to life in a new 3D mecha action game when it launches on September 17, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC. Good Smile Company Inc. has also revealed a new promotional video narrated by Mīna Tominaga, who returns as Noa Izumi. The game will be available worldwide and will support Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean.
Patlabor The Case Files lets players revisit memorable moments from the original series while offering several gameplay experiences built around its iconic Labors. More than 20 machines will appear, including fan-favorite units such as the Ingram, Griffon, and Zero Type.
Players will also be able to experience missions from different perspectives, including members of Special Vehicle Section 2 and characters who stand against them. For those looking for some extra action, Simulator Mode features shooting exercises and Labor-versus-Labor battles.
The story takes place in a world where Labors, robots originally developed for industrial work, have become common in construction and civil engineering. As Labor-related crimes begin to rise, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department creates Special Vehicle Section 2’s Patrol Labor Unit to deal with the growing threat. This eventually gives rise to the unit known as Patlabor.
The PC version is already available for wishlisting, giving fans a chance to keep an eye on the game ahead of its September launch.
Patlabor fans won’t have to wait much longer to step into the cockpit and experience these legendary machines for themselves.
