Lost Ball Steam Page Goes Live Ahead of Full Release This Year

Go Ahead and Wishlist Lost Ball Right Now

Indie game developer Knut Ryager is thrilled to announce that the Steam store page for Lost Ball is now live. You can wishlist this quirky, physics-based puzzle-platformer, where every level unlocks a new ability. The full version will arrive sometime this year, so make sure to keep an eye out.

Lost Ball

Lost Ball is a 2D puzzle-platformer that features a unique progression system where every completed level unlocks a brand-new ability. Rather than simply adding movement upgrades, each new power changes how players interact with the world. This encourages players to try out creative ways to solve increasingly complex puzzles.

The game features a wide range of interconnected physics systems, including gravity, magnetism, portals, fluids, optics, ropes, circuitry, destruction, and projectiles. As more abilities become available, players can combine them with environmental mechanics to discover unexpected ways of navigating and solving challenges.

One of the biggest highlights is the fully featured level editor, the same tool Ryager used to build the game. Players can create their own stages, modify existing levels, and script custom game modes. They can even share their creations with the community through Steam Workshop. The editor also includes convenient snap-on and auto-connect tools for building intricate machines with gears, wires, and gravity fields.

In addition to 10 brand-new levels, Lost Ball also includes complete remakes of the original game’s 10 stages. The first Lost Ball earned Game of the Year at the 2013 Norwegian Game Awards, making this both a sequel and a celebration of the original.

With its inventive physics and powerful creation tools, Lost Ball is shaping up to be a promising indie release worth keeping on your radar.
